One of the greatest batsmen of all time, Virat Kohli is a former skipper and current batsman for the Indian cricket team, who leads the rankings in all three formats. Kohli came to the Indian team as a regular hitter, but after spending a few years with the national team, he transformed  into a completely different hitter and began conquering the world with top-notch hits in all formats. , the first hitter to show that with dedication, hard work and resilience, you can  perform consistently regardless of the format. Here are some surprising facts about the 'King of Cricket' Virat Kohli.   Virat Kohli was born  in Delhi on November 5, 1988 to a Punjabi family of Prem and Sarohi his Kohli. His older brother, Vikas Kohli, is a businessman. His sister's name is Bhavna Kohli. Prem Kohli was a criminal defense attorney.  Kohli started his professional career in 1998 by joining his West Delhi Cricket Academy and coaching under Rajkumar Sharma. He played in all age group tournaments in Delhi before being selected in his squad for the 2006 Tour of England India Under-19.  His nickname is 'Cheeku', given to him by West Delhi Cricket Academy's childhood coach Ajeet Chaudhury.  Virat led India to victory in his 2008 U-19 World Cup in 2008.   Kohli is one of the world's most passionate players.During the Rajini Trophy match against Karnataka, his father died of a stroke, but Kohli was determined  to play the match, reaching 90 before attending  his father's funeral. made their first appearance in international cricket in the ODI match against Sri Lanka, with first-choice opening players Sachin and Sehwag missing the series due to injuries. He  only managed to score 12 runs in his first game.  Virat was  part of his team India that won the 2011 World Championships after he spent 28 years under Dhoni's leadership. It was his first world championship and he won.  Virat Kohli holds many records in One Day Cricket - i) Fastest batsman to score 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000 and 12000 ODI runs.  ii) His second greatest century in ODI (43).   iii) Most centuries in his ODI series of five matches (3).   India played possibly the youngest team in the  Champions Trophy 2013. India were the best in terms of bowling, batting and catching. Virat scored the most runs in the final of the tournament, scoring 43  off 33 balls, and India won their second crown in Birmingham.  Kohli was the fastest to achieve his ODI  100  against Australia in 2013 when he was beaten by the Indians on 100 of 52 balls.  Virat Kohli made his Test debut against the West Indies in 2011 and it was a match to remember as he recorded his 4&15 in the first and his second in the match. The 2014  India Tour of Australia  was a nightmare and the leanest period of Kohli's career. He collected only 134 runs in five matches.  Virat suffered from depression and came back stronger in the series against Australia in Australia. He was India's only warrior to score his 692 runs in his four matches, including the fourth century.  Kohli achieved seven times his century as test his captain. This is the longest format captain in the game with the most. The  Delhi-based batsman was named Tester of the Year in 2018 and in 13 matches he scored 1322 runs and averaged 55.08.  Kohli has  the most RBI's against Pakistan in an innings of 183 batters in the 2012 Asian Cup. With 3159 runs in 90 games, he is the best run scorer in the T20 International.  Kohli beat the most 50 with 28 in his T20 I.  Virat Kohli finished the 2014 T20 Worlds best run in the Cup He was the scorer (319 runs) but still finished the event as a runner.  Virat is the only player in the world to  average over 50 across all formats. As   captain, Kohli  won his 37 Tests, the most Indians in a Test. His  Awards in Cricket

He was blessed with a daughter named 'Vamika' in 2021.  Kohli's jersey number is his 18.  The  estimated net worth of the  Indian superstar is his $60 million.  31.
